Mira Irma Dost Stojanovic Harrelson, 98, of Lyman, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City, NC. Mira was born October 7, 1927, in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, a daughter of the late Fritz and Bertha Baffert Dost.
Mira and her late husband were the co-founders of Stojanovic Poultry Farm in Cowpens, SC. She later was employed at the Deli Corner in Spartanburg for over 12 years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church-Spartanburg and the German-American Club of Spartanburg. She was an avid gardener, and her flower gardens brought her much joy. Mira also loved to knit and crochet and was very dedicated to her craft. Mira also LOVED to play Bingo at Mr. Bingo in Greer!
Most of all, Mira was dedicated and devoted to her family. She enjoyed time with her family and looked forward to talking with them daily. Her love for her family was unwavering, just as God’s love for his people.
Mira was blessed with two fruitful and happy marriages. She was predeceased by her first husband, Krsta Stojanovic, and her second husband, W. Nolan Harrelson. She was also preceded in death by a brother and five sisters.
Surviving are her children, Marieanne Lassiter of Lyman, SC, Stephan Stojanovic of Charlotte, Jelka Stojanovic (Jim) of Spartanburg, and George Stojanovic, Sr. of Cowpens, SC; her grandchildren, George Michael Stojanovic, Jr. of Spartanburg, SC and Jennifer Meredith Huey (Doug) of York, SC; her great-grandchildren, Annabella Mitchell (Kelly) of York, SC, Caroline Huey (Jakob) of Clover, SC, Lila Jaye Huey of York, SC and Serenity Hope Edmondson; a great-great-grandson, Roper Clinton; two nephews, Siegfried Dost and Mike Simmering of Germany; a niece, Traute Absolon of Germany; a cousin, Heinz Zimmas (Phylis) of New Jersey; and a very special friend, Gary Anderson.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 am-12:30 pm Monday, January 12, 2026, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm, in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Sal Barone. The burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
