Miranda Ann "Min Mindy" Mannia

Miranda Ann "Min" "Mindy" Mannia, age 76, of Delaware City, DE, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
Born in Logansport, IN on May 10, 1948, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Rosemary Ann (Malin) Finnegan. Miranda was a graduate of West Lafayette Indiana High School in 1966 as well as Indiana Vocational Technical School in 1970. Miranda made her career as a medical lab technician at various hospitals in Indiana and Delaware for many years.
Miranda had a knack for creativity, spending her free time crocheting and embroidering. Her talents led her to open her first shop, A-penny House, where she sold her crafts. Miranda was also a skilled writer and published "The House with the Diamond on It" in 2008. She enjoyed antiquing and traveled throughout Delaware and Southeastern Pennsylvania to find pieces for her second store, Mindy's Americana. A friend to the community, she spent two years as a Brownie leader. Miranda was a passionate advocate of Delaware Right to Life, spending time as a chairman, executive vice president, and president. She also served as an administrator of the Student Prolife Vanguard League.
Miranda is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, William Richard Mannia; daughters, Stephanie Ann Chisenhall and Carrie Mannia (Chris); grandchildren, Brittany Chisenhall, Meghan Chisenhall, Chris Chisenhall (Michelle), Xander Cifelli, Hailey Chisenhall, and Luca Cifelli; and great-grandchildren, Mariah Chisenhall, Timmy Seibert, Jace Chisenhall, and Austin Chisenhall.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 214 Clinton Street, Delaware City, DE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 am, following the visitation, at St. Paul's R.C. Church, 209 Washington Street, Delaware City, DE. A committal service will follow in the chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
