Miriam J. Borel, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on January 14, 1931, in Port Arthur, Texas, Miriam lived a life rich with dedication and love.
For an impressive 36 years, he devoted his professional life to Texaco, Inc. in Port Arthur, exemplifying commitment and hard work. His colleagues and many friends admired him exemplary work ethic and warm spirit, which brought light to the workplace and to all he encountered.
Miriam was preceded in death by his loving wife, Harvey Lynn Borel, whom he married late in life and remained married to until her passing in 2022. Their bond served as a testament to a life spent together in love and partnership.
He is survived by his stepdaughters, Anna Lynn Johnson Shaw and her husband Terry of Port Neches, Texas and Debbie Johnson Kiger and her husband Dennis of Forney, Texas. Miriam's legacy lives on through his stepdaughters and their children and grandchildren.
The family will receive friends for visitation on March 12, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 2001 Nall St, Port Neches, Texas. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, located at 618 Block Street in Port Neches, Texas.
The family wishes to thank Mattie Lopez for the care and companionship she lovingly offered as his caregiver.
