Mitchell Dornbusch

Mitchell Dornbusch, of Harrison, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, at the age of 68. He was born on April 18, 1957, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Ferdinand and Virginia (Hill) Dornbusch. Mitchell built a life defined by hard work, integrity, and quiet devotion to the people he loved.
He was the co-owner of M&B's Battery Company that he and his wife Spring, started in 1983 and he worked there daily until 8 years ago. Mitchell was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures. You could find him spending afternoons on the golf course, relaxing with Gunsmoke reruns, or cheering passionately for his beloved Bengals (even though they tested his patience more often than not.) He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and felt most at home in nature, whether that meant a day behind the wheel of his tractor or an evening around a campfire with family and friends. Those moments, filled with laughter and good company, were some of his happiest.
He wasn't one for grand gestures or emotional displays, but those closest to him knew the depth of his care. He showed his love through his actions: he showed up, he took care of his people, and he protected them with a quiet, steady strength they could always count on.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Spring (Fleckenstein) Dornbusch, his children: Ian (Stephanie) Dornbusch, Erin Dornbusch, and Chad Dornbusch, his grandson Niels Dornbusch and his beloved dogs Gersemi and Ling Ling.
The family will be having private services at a later date. Brater Winter Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
