Mitchell Lynn "2 Speed, Butch" Turpin, 60, of Scotts Hill, TN, passed away Tuesday, September 30th, at Jackson-Madison Co. General Hospital.

Mitchell was born April 21, 1965 in Lexington to the late Jerry and Cordie Couch Turpin. He was a graduate of Scotts Hill High School then began a long truck driving career. He drove over the road for several years, then drove locally for McPeake Trucking a while then lastly, he drove for Wayne County Rock. He was known by family as "Butch" and "2 Speed" by his fellow truckers.

Mitchell had a host of trucker friends, he loved his family and children, collected caps and was a very loving and caring person.

Mitchell is survived by a sister, Lisa Cannon, of Lexington; a brother, Mark (Monica) Turpin, of Lexington; a nephew, Stephen McPeake, of Reagan; a great niece Ryleigh McPeake and a great nephew, Jerry McPeake, both of Reagan.

His Funeral Service will be held at Reed's Chapel, Scotts Hill, TN, at 3 PM on Thursday, October 2nd, with Micah Renfroe and Keith Kirk officiating. Burial will follow in Judson Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday 4 PM - 9 PM and Thursday 10 AM until service at Reed's Chapel - Scotts Hill.
