Mo Reza Hassanzadeh (Farhad) was born on June 17th, 1960 in Tehran, Iran to Yakhchi (Aghdas) Jahantab and Abdolghader (Qadir) Hassanzadeh. Mo was the youngest of eight and even as a child his family says he was kind, calm and flexible. He also never forgot about sharing one bike with all of his siblings who never gave him a turn.
Mo's father was a Colonel in the Iranian Army before the revolution and Mo dreamed of being an Air Force pilot but ultimately came to the US with his brother Parviz in 1979 for college. He left days before the Iranian revolution and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering in 1983.
Mo planned to return to Iran after graduating but met Amy in Texas while she was there on a family trip. After three years of long distance dating, Mo moved to Minnesota in 1987 where Amy was teaching and they married on July 2nd of that year. Mo purchased his first business, TJ's of Edina, in 1990 just before he and Amy bought their dream house where they raised their two daughters Erin and Emilee. Amy has fond memories of dancing in uptown and trips to Mexico with Mo in the early days and traveling wherever their girls went as life unfolded.
Mo loved floating on his pontoon boat, playing backgammon, swimming at Lifetime Fitness, going for long walks, singing and dancing, biking, jamming out in his beloved cars and spending time with his family. A true entrepreneur Mo had many businesses and real estate ventures over the years but his proudest accomplishment was raising his two girls.
Even as the youngest, he was always wise. Many in his family and community went straight to Mo for advice. Always the listening ear who rarely shared his problems but helped others solve theirs. He was the most loving father who beamed with pride as he savored his daughters' success. A mentor to anyone who needed to kickstart their life and a genuine friend to anyone who walked through the doors of his businesses. He was always busy but there was no one more generous with their time than Mo when someone needed help.
He is survived by his wife Amy, daughters Erin and Emilee, siblings Ebrahim, Parvin, Mahin, Iran, Khorshid, Khosrow and Parviz, countless nieces and nephews, and a never ending list of friends.

My friend my heart is broken to see you leave us. For 36 years you have been a good and carrying friend. I will miss you. I'm so glad I got to see you not that long ago when I promised to visit even though I had moved to Iowa. Who knew that would be the last time I would give you a hug. God bless you and the family, be at peace and know this is just a see you later and not a goodbye.

Amy I send you all my love from Mexico. Wish I could of been there with you. With all my sympathy and love.

I am very sorry to hear this. Mo worked with me at a restaurant (along with his brother) in Norman Ok, when he was going to school at the University of Oklahoma. He was also a great friend, invited me to dinner with his parents when they came to the US to visit. Even though we ended up in different states, I always felt that you were truly a friend for always. God Bless you and the family.
