Molly J. Meyer, 46, of Ramsey, IL, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025 at her home, after a strenuous battle with diabetes mellitus and other complications.
Per Molly's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 04, 2025 at Mother of Dolors Catholic Church, Vandalia with Rev. Fr. Seth Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Online condolences can be expressed at www.hohltandfilefh.com.
Molly Jo was born on May 04, 1978 in Vandalia, IL, the daughter of June Ann Holliday and Daniel Meyer. In her younger years, Molly was extremely athletic. After high school, she was awarded a softball scholarship to Faulker State Community College in Bay Minette, AL, where she obtained an Associate's Degree. Furthering her education, she attended Greenville College, where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Special Education. Unfortunately, Molly was never able to apply her degree as her battle with diabetes became more challenging. Through her struggles Molly was always a positive energy. Her son, Chandler was her pride and joy. She loved nothing more than to watch him play ball throughout the years. She cherished all of the memories made and the time they shared together, along with her family.
Molly had such a kind and giving heart. She touched so many lives with her goodness, and we truly believe God will reward her for all the love she shared. She's at peace now, surrounded by His love, and her beautiful spirit will always live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
She will forever be remembered by her son, Chandler Meyer; mother; father; significant other, Dirk Dodson; brother, Daniel Meyer; sister, Christy Curry; half-sister, Ali Greenwood; extended family, friends, and her beloved canine companions.
Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Walter and Kathleen Holliday; paternal grandparents, Willard and Norma Meyer; and two uncles, George "Pidge" Holliday and Walter "Happy" Holliday.
