It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Molly Michelle Savold, age 41, on April 14th, 2025, at the MN Health Fairview University of Minnesota Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born on October 20th, 1983, at St. Croix Regional Hospital in St. Croix Falls, WI, Molly was well known for her determined attitude, sense of humor, unwavering spirit, unique style, love for her family and a natural ability to be a friend to all.
Molly grew up in the Chisago Lakes area, where she graduated from Chisago Lakes High School. Early school years were highly active as she demonstrated at an early age the need to always be busy and set her mind to try most every activity that came along, including swimming, baton, softball, volleyball, girl scouts, church choir and clog dancing. Participation in Band, Choir, Stage Chorus, and Variety Shows occurred in later school years, showcasing her involvement in music and various art forms. Participation in athletic activities continued through soccer and cheerleading while fashion, design, sewing, knitting, crocheting and particularly drawing became serious hobbies.
Molly continued to further her education by attending Century College in White Bear Lake, MN and Regency Beauty Institute of Maplewood, MN in Cosmetology. She was also married briefly, after completing her secondary education. Molly's passion for her profession enabled her to pursue her artistic interests and led to a fulfilling career throughout the Twin Cities area, where she worked for many years and made many lasting friendships along the way.
In 2016 Molly began to experience health issues leading to a diagnosis of End Stage Liver Disease. She was listed for a liver transplant at the University of MN in July 2023. A long wait ended, and a wish came true on March 9th, 2025, when she received her transplant and displayed a will beyond measure to return home, despite all complications. The support and prayers from so many people helped her overcome obstacles early in her recovery, enabling her to proceed to the intensive physical strengthening phase. She was finally stable and extremely excited to transfer to Bethesda Long Term Acute Care Hospital on April 9th, bringing her closer to her goal of returning home after nearly six long months of hospitalization. After only a few days, however, a sudden and unexpected complication of a stroke overtook her, and she traveled to her heavenly home instead.
Throughout her health issues Molly always remained true to herself in sharing her unique "sense of style", with her family and her caregivers, whether it was her "sassy" sense of humor and honesty in conveying how she really felt on any given day, or her true take on current world affairs. There were always her unique opinions and interpretations to be had on about everything, which showcased her continued sense of humor and bright spirit. Music and her talent for "creative doodling" and sketching remained a significant interest and source of comfort during both good and bad days. The true constant, however, remained her strong will and determination to get home and back to living life. Each problem she faced, she fought as it arose, with the courage and strength of a true warrior - using her infectious smile as her shield and her strong will and bold spirit as her sword through some very tough battles. Even on the roughest of days, she became our "Warrior Woman," who with the love, strong support, and constant prayers of so very many family, friends, and care providers, she continued to go forward with an always grateful heart. She showed us all the meaning of determination, by having a goal she believed in and was committed to and inspired all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Molly is preceded in death by her grandparents Kay and "Ace" Johnson, Mayo and Melba Savold, her uncle Ross Johnson, as well as several close friends.
Molly is survived by her parents, Michael and Robyn Savold; sister Katie (Pete) Wilson, niece and nephews Lily, PJ and Colby Robert Wilson; aunts and uncles Andrea Johnson, Jeannine and Mark Midtdahl and Julie and Gary Savold; godparents Claudia and Bruce Hagberg; many cousins, extended family and a wealth of friends who meant the world to her, and who will cherish the memories of knowing her loving and lively spirit. Molly will be deeply missed by many. Her spirit will forever remain in our hearts and her legacy will continue through the lives and memories of those she touched.
Words alone are just not enough to thank all of you who have loved, supported and prayed for this strong woman and we as her family, during this entire time. We cannot thank you enough.
Our family also wishes to extend our most sincere gratitude to all her health care teams and providers from the University of MN hospital and clinic, for the incredible care and support provided to both Molly and our family during this extensive journey. You were not only her caregivers, but her forever friends and she loved you all so much. We also, are forever grateful for the friendship and support provided also to us, her family, by all of you.
Memorial gifts are kindly requested to be directed to the family for the creation of scholarships, focused on health, wellness and wellbeing.
We invite you to celebrate Molly's extraordinary life, share stories and remember fond memories.

Robyn and family.. I am so very sorry in the loss of Molly. What a beautiful spirited soul she is. I wish I had some words that would take all this pain away, sadly I do not, all I can say is cherish the memories you have with her, continue to talk to her she is there, just in a different way. I was so honored you chose me to make her cakes for her funeral. I only hope I did her/them justice. Putting Molly's artwork on her cake was a very beautiful sentiment and boy was she a talented artist. I hold you all in my prayers and heart as you navigate this new normal. I always have a huge hug for you Robyn if you need one. You know where to find me. God bless, and love sent to you all for healing.

Condolences to the entire Salvold family.
Molly was one of my coworkers when she worked for Schmelz Countryside Volkswagen.
Molly was always positive and upbeat. Had a beautiful smile and personality. She was funny and just enjoyable to be around. She was a beautiful soul inside and out. I am sad to hear of her passing. I pray for strength and healing for the family. God will take it from here. Bless you Molly, rest in peace my friend.

Although I've lost children, I will never tell someone that I know how they feel. Every relationship with each of your children are unique and the things you'll miss about Molly or remind you of Molly are those memories that are truly your own. All I am able to say that I
understand is that deep down pain in your hearts. If you in the future want someone to talk to, I'm here for you! Love and prayers to you and your family.
