She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Heiss Jr.; father, Elmer Weeks; mother, Thelma Weeks; and sisters, Freda Weeks and Faye Purser.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis (Pat) Heiss and Van A. (Becky) Heiss; two grandsons, Dennis Heiss Jr. and Joseph (Heather) Heiss; a granddaughter, Mandy (Albert) Hasting; a great-grandson, James Van Hasting; two great-granddaughters, Makenzie Heiss and Rorie Heiss; two great great-granddaughters, Rose and Ruby Thomas; her brother, Rex Weeks; sister, Nancy Ables; and step-grandchildren, Jacob (Leila) Thomas; Eric (Hsin Lun) Thomas; Isacc (Emma) Thomas; and Mallory (Carter Root) Thomas.
The family would like to extend thanks to Hearth Hospice, especially Jennifer Rothwell and Ashley Rotman for the kindness and care shown to our mother.
In lieu of flowers send donations to Hearth Hospice.
At Mona's request, no services will be held, and she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
