Monica Louise Colledge (Maiden name Simons), 59, passed away on March 25, 2026, at 3:00 a.m., following unexpected complications. She took her final breath in the arms of her devoted husband, Jeffery, surrounded by deep love.
Monica's life was one of resilience, creativity, and deep care for the people around her. Her early years were not easy, as she moved between family members and learned to navigate life with strength and independence from a young age. Those experiences shaped her into someone who could do just about anything-and she truly could.
She spent over 21 years as a professional nail technician, where she built not only a career but lasting relationships with those who sat in her chair. In later years, she worked in title companies and eventually devoted herself fully to her home and family. Monica had a rare gift-she could cook, clean, sew, paint, garden, cut hair, manage finances, and even work on engines. There seemed to be nothing she couldn't learn or master. She poured that creativity into everything she touched, especially the handmade blankets she lovingly crafted for family and friends, each one thoughtfully designed to make the recipient feel seen and special.
She found joy in life's simple beauties-dragonflies, dolphins, her beloved dogs, and her truck. Her laugh was contagious, her creativity endless, and her ability to remember names and make people feel included was something truly special. Monica had a way of bringing people together and making them feel like they belonged.
Monica was a devoted wife to her husband, Jeffery Wadley Colledge. Their relationship was full of passion and personality-they could fight like cats and dogs, but at their core, they were perfectly matched. They loved each other deeply and treated one another with care, devotion, and understanding.
She was a loving mother to her two children, Sierra and Dalton, and a proud stepmother to Jeffery's four children. She was also an incredible grandmother who adored her grandchildren and made each of them feel uniquely loved.
Monica was a loyal friend, always ready to support anyone in need and quick to open her heart and her home. While she faced her own struggles and carried pain from both her past and later health challenges, those who knew her understood that she always led with intention, even when life was difficult. At her core, she was a woman who wanted to love and be loved, and she did both in her own powerful way.
In her later years, Monica endured significant physical pain following a serious car accident and faced ongoing health challenges with strength. Recently, she underwent open heart surgery after being diagnosed with multiple valve complications. Though she showed signs of recovery, unexpected complications led to her passing.
Monica leaves behind a legacy of resilience, creativity, and love. She will be remembered for her strength, her laughter, her talent, and the way she made people feel. Her life, though not without hardship, was full of meaning and connection.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
