A devoted and deeply proud mother and grandmother, Monica was a true Renaissance woman who lived a life of intellect, creativity, and elegance. She was a lifelong autodidact and possessed a passion for classical music, literature, world history, and the arts. As a polyglot she wrote poetry and delighted in the beauty and nuance of other languages. She was a gifted raconteur and brought wit, levity, and charm wherever she went, captivating rooms with her presence and grace. Monica embodied many worlds within herself and moved effortlessly between intellect and artistry, humor and depth, refinement and generosity. Those fortunate enough to know her will be blessed with the loving memory of her brilliance, her ability to engage, and how she left others feeling enriched and seen, regardless of background or experience.
