Monica Stamper, a beacon of love and adventure, passed away on May 10, 2025, in Berea, Kentucky. Born in Leslie County, Kentucky, to her mother, the late Rosemary Couch. Monica's life was a vibrant tapestry
woven with intelligence, compassion, and a zest for life that touched everyone she knew.
Monica's journey was marked by her dedication to her family and her calling as a nurse. She was a beloved wife to Roby Stamper and a cherished mother to her children, Kristen (Corey) Lamb, Kassondra Arnett, and Korey (Serena) Stamper. Her love extended to her grandchildren, Koltin Dyer, Marlea Rose Stamper, Zelda and Aria Stamper, Chloe and Zoey Lamb, who brought immense joy to her life.
Monica will be remembered for her unwavering love and energy she had for family, friends, and fun. Though she now joins her late brother, James Dean May, and nephew, Randi Bollin, her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Monica's academic achievements included becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse and earning multiple associate degrees. Her professional life was devoted to caring for others, most recently at River Oaks Post
Acute & Rehabilitation Center in Louisville, KY.
Her passions were as eclectic as her personality, ranging from music to her adoration of cats and dogs, her fascination with New York City and the Titanic, to her love for all things purple. Monica's legacy is one of a loving, adventurous, and intelligent woman whose memory will forever be treasured.
