Monty Lee Nollen was born on September 8, 1953, in Staten, Oregon, to Albert and Eva Irene (Husemann) Nollen. He passed from this life on November 10, 2025, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, at the age of 72 years.
Monty grew up in Marion, Oregon, and attended Cascada High School there. On July 5, 1974, he was united in marriage to Terry Lynn Sitsler in Stayton, Oregon, and together they shared more than fifty years of love and companionship.
During his early years, Monty worked as a hot tar roofer for Mott Roofing in Tulsa, Oklahoma, before spending most of his life as a self-employed brick mason. He took great pride in his work and was known for his skill, dedication, and strong work ethic.
Monty was saved and attended Cornerstone Outreach in Locust Grove, where his faith became an important part of his life.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors and took great pride in keeping his yard perfectly maintained. He loved gardening-especially growing beautiful flowers, fruits, and vegetables. Monty also had a passion for hot rod cars and spent countless hours restoring them to their former glory. In his spare time, he loved watching his favorite shows, MASH* and Gunsmoke, and he never turned down a good Western, especially Tombstone.
Those who knew Monty will remember him for his great sense of humor, his hard-working spirit, and the love he showed to his family and friends. He was a funny, loyal, and caring man who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Monty is survived by: 3 kids; 10 grandkids, 5 great grandkids; 2 brothers: Thomas Nollen and Robert Nollen; as well as many other relatives and a host of friends. Numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Monty was preceded in death by: his parents; 1 sister; and 9 brothers;
Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Hogan Cemetery near Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Pastor Edna Kiddy will officiate. Services were entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
