Aaron "Buddy" Blake Spurgeon, 33, of Pryor, OK, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Pryor, OK. He was born on July 9, 1992, in Tahlequah, OK, to Tommie James Spurgeon & Michelle Leann (Simpson) Schoenrock.
Aaron spent his childhood in Callaway, NE, where he lived until the age of sixteen, before moving to Oklahoma. He graduated from Pryor High School with the Class of 2009.
Over the years, Aaron built a successful career working with technology. He was employed with Absolute Technologies in Locust Grove &, since 2022, had been proud to work at Google in Pryor - truly embracing his role as a "Googler."
Aaron had a passion for computers & was talented at building them from scratch, often creating custom systems for family & friends - including a special one he built as a Father's Day gift for his dad. He was an avid gamer & loved collecting Godzilla memorabilia. His interests also included anime, especially Dragon Ball Z & Demon Slayer. Aaron enjoyed attending concerts, with Breaking Benjamin being among his favorites.
Above all, Aaron loved spending time with his family, his siblings, & his girlfriend. He also deeply loved his cat, Cappuccino, who he affectionately spoiled.
Aaron will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, & beautiful smile. He was always polite, quick to lend a hand, & fiercely protective of his sisters. His caring nature & quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Aaron is survived by: His parents: John & Michelle Schoenrock of Utica, NE; His father: Tommie Spurgeon of Chouteau, OK; His step-mother: Kamen Schoenrock of Bradshaw, NE, His girlfriend: Tierra Lofgren of Pryor, OK; 4 brothers: Lincoln Schoenrock & wife Tara of Seward, NE, Bannor Murray of Washington, Jordon Schriner of Missouri, Dakota Spurgeon & wife Jenny of Pryor, OK; 4 sisters: Abigail Schoenrock of Cambridge, NE, Carissa Schoenrock of Utica, NE, Elena Murray of Bradshaw, NE, & Madelane Blaser & husband James Lee of Cleora, OK; Maternal grandparents: Perry & Sharon Simpson of Joplin, MO; Paternal grandparents: Tom & Judy Spurgeon of Locust Grove, OK; 4 Nieces: Evelyn Grant, Avianna Kienzler, Merideth Spurgeon, Cheyenne Spurgeon; 6 Nephews: Zayden & Ryker Guess, Tommie Jenson, Jackson Spurgeon, James Chevy, & Nathaniel Blaser. Numerous other relatives & a host of friends.
Aaron was preceded in death by: his grandparents: Ted & Shirley Schoenrock; & his Grandma: Connie Simpson.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Locust Grove Funeral Home Chapel, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to Locust Grove Funeral Home.
