Funeral service for Morris Wayne Brown, age 86, of Oak Point, Texas will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at 2:00pm, Bro John Wolf officiating. Interment will follow at Greenpond Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Morris was born on July 7, 1936, in Bradley, Arkansas to William Lloyd and Winnie Lee (Hammock) Brown. He married Judy Gail Bowen in 1961 and they were married for 43 years and have 3 children. He graduated from North Texas State University in 1966. Morris was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served post Korean War. He later worked for Madix as the HR Director for 32 years. Morris was a member of the CrossRidge Church of Little Elm.
He is survived by his sons, Matthew Brown and wife Tracy, Jason Brown and wife Ann Marie, Doug Brown and wife Nikki; grandchildren, Devon Brown, Madison Brown, Whitney Vicars, and Berkley Witherspoon; great grandchildren, Peyton and Caroline Vicars; sister, Peggy Lunger.
Morris was preceded in death by his sisters, Katherine Horton and Judy Harrison; brother, Harold Brown and wife Judy Brown.
