Morris Wesley Williams of Melbourne, Florida went to be with the Lord on August 21, 2025.
He was born on June 5, 1938 in Mattoon, Illinois to Oval & Margaret Williams. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. On January 13, 1962, Morris married the former Esther Alice Wisley and they celebrated over 63 years of marriage.
Morris was a loving husband to Esther, devoted father to Jim, Karen, John, and Sonja, grandfather of eleven and great-grandfather of twelve.
He was known for his kindness, hard work, sense of humor, love for his family, and love for Jesus. Morris's greatest wish was for all his family and friends to find the Lord and live a good Christian life.
He was a dedicated employee of the City of Melbourne for many years and retired from service with the city. He was a member of the Victory Assembly of God in Palm Bay, Florida.
Morris is survived by his wife Esther; his children Jim (wife Angie) Allen, Karen Haskew, John (wife Becky) Williams, Sonja (husband Bob) Lee, and his sister Martha Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents Oval and Margaret Williams and his siblings Cecil Williams, Mary Paige, Ruby Helm, David Williams, and Lowel Williams.
His viewing will be on August 26, 2025 at the Brownlie – Maxwell Funeral Home, 1010 E. Palmetto Avenue, Melbourne, Florida from 11:00 am to the time of his service at 1:00 pm. Burial services will be held at 11:00 am on August 27, 2025 at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US Highway 1, Mims, Florida. Plan to arrive at 10:45 am and pull into Lane "A".
