Moses William Eldridge

Moses W. Eldridge was called home to the Lord on September 4, 2025, surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of his home.

Born in Wilcox, West Virginia, Moses was the second of six children to Moses and Lottie Eldridge. Raised in the hills of West Virginia, he learned early the values of faith, hard work, and resilience-qualities that shaped his remarkable life.

Moses proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After the war, he worked for many years as a porter with the NY Central Railroad and later worked for Columbus City Schools.

In 1939, Moses married the love of his life, Ida Belle Bland, with whom he shared a long and loving marriage lasting 74 years until her passing in 2013. Together, they raised their family. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle always offering wisdom, kindness, and encouragement.

Moses's legacy continues through his daughter, Barabara Ann, and son-in-law, Everett E. Bingham, grandchildren Sherri, Michele, and Everett, and great-grandchildren Aylea and Aniyah. He was a beloved figure to countless family members, friends, and neighbors.

A long-standing member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Moses served faithfully in fellowship and song. His favorite hymn, "Jesus is the Center of m Joy," was a reflection of his spirit-joyful, kind, and full of grace.

Moses now reunites with his beloved Ida Belle in eternal rest. His life was a true testament to service, faith, and love.
