Mozell Linnie Joe Jr., affectionately known as Moe to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2023, at the age of 33, in his hometown of Greenville, South Carolina. Born on January 18, 1990, in Greenville, Moe was a beacon of joy and strength to all who knew him.
Moe was a proud alumnus of Southern Wesleyan University, where he not only excelled academically but also left a lasting legacy on the basketball court. His passion for the game was paralleled only by his skill and sportsmanship, qualities that endeared him to teammates and opponents alike.
Professionally, Moe dedicated himself to the craft of auto mechanics, a trade where his meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving abilities shone brightly. His colleagues in the automotive industry respected him for his expertise and his unwavering commitment to excellence.
Beyond his professional life, Moe was a man of many interests, but none more important to him than basketball, his children, and spending time at the park. He was a loving and devoted father to his two sons, Humble and Hebrew Joe, who were the center of his world. His love for his children was evident in every aspect of his life, and he instilled in them the values of kindness, perseverance, and passion.
Moe's family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived not only by his 2 sons but also by his sister, Nikita Joe; brother, Emmanuel Joe; half brothers, Mozell Bustamante of Texas, Quinton Williams and Carlton Kelly and his beloved nephew, Joeston Gaston and niece, E'Kaylan Joe. He was preceded in death by his father, Mozell Joe, and his mother, Maneice Woody. Moe's memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories and the love he shared with his family.
Those who knew Moe will remember him as a loving, thoughtful, and passionate individual. His ability to light up a room with his smile and his unwavering support for those he cared about will be deeply missed.
Moe's life was a testament to the power of love and dedication. As we say goodbye, we celebrate the remarkable man he was and the indelible impact he made on the lives of so many. His spirit will continue to inspire us all.

Mozelle was a classmate of my son Alex Hovey. He used to stop by our house regularly and I remember being impressed with his happy personality, and has genuine politeness. Got to know Mozelle over the years when he would come by our prince of peace basketball practices, and join in Whenever he had time. His smile lit up the gym, and everybody was always so happy to see him when he walked in.. roselle was a truly fine human being. Someone we were all glad to know. I am very sorry for your loss. I encourage Mozelle`s sons to always be very proud of their dad, and to take good care of his name. God Bless..
