Lance Rodney Jones Jr. 54 of Kansas City, Missouri passed away July 1, 2025, at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born October 4, 1970, in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Lance R. Jones Sr. and Mary Lou Jones.

He leaves behind his partner in life, Leonardo Alejandro Hernandez Palma, sisters, Carla Jones of Kansas City, Missouri, April Lasley with husband/Anthony Lasley Sr. and Son Anthony Lasley Jr. of Kansas City, Kansas. He leaves a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.

Lance attended grade and middle school at St. Teresa Little Flower then graduated from Bishop Hogan High School in 1989.

His job experiences took him from California to commuting between Kansas City and Phoenix, Arizona. Finally settling here with Systemair USA and working with his brother-in-Law where he wore many hats. He worked until he could no longer when the Lord called him home. Important to Lance was his strong faith and family.

Like his mother, he couldn't resist Lee's Fried Chicken in St. Louis MO. He loved traveling all over the United States, cooking like a chef, trading recipes, watching movies, gardening, conquering technical challenges, predicting the weather with 100% accuracy and laughing with his larger-than-life smile.

There is so much more about Lance that we could include but it would go on and on into infinity.

His positivity was so infectious, he was a giver and always willing to help.

Lance no longer is physically here to walk and talk with us but his footsteps will always be by our side continuing to hold our hand. He guides us as he always has. We love and miss you, Lance!!!!

Please join us in a Celebration of Life for Lance at The Modern Loft located at 405 Southwest Blvd. Suite 200, Kansas City, MO 64108 on Saturday August 2, 2025, from 5-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to colon cancer research.
