Mrs. Esther Hill Hartsell, 88, of Concord, passed away peacefully Sunday August 10, 2025 at her home. Esther was born January 21, 1937 in Concord to the late Charlie “C.O.” Hill and Lizzie Mae Stirewalt Hill. Esther is survived by her son Rick Hartsell (Carra), grandchildren Lee Hartsell (Kelli), Sharee Carter (Nathan), and great grandchildren, Jessalyn Carter, Weston Hartsell, Lainey Hartsell, and Cash Carter. She was preceded in death by Wade Lee Hartsell, her loving husband of 44 years. She was also preceded in death by brothers David Hill, Bobby Hill, Earl Hill, and sister, Peggy Hill Walker. She is survived by brothers Howard Hill, Charles Hill, and Dwight “Randy” Hill and sister Betty Goforth.

The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 Friday August 15, 2025 at Hartsell Funeral Home, 460 Branchview Dr. SE, Concord, NC 28027. The service will follow in the Chapel at the funeral home at 1:30 and will be officiated by Brandon Gray. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, 601 Mt. Olivet Rd. Concord, NC 28025.

Esther worked in multiple hosiery & clothing mills as a seamstress and supervisor. She took great pride in her work and keeping her home and garden. Esther was a loving wife, mother and the best grandmother and aunt anyone could ask for. She was a great cook and baker and loved to entertain family and friends at her home. She was always there to help her family and support them in their times of need.
