Mrs. Mary Lee Brookins Ard, age 78, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Riverside Health and Rehab.
Memorial services for Mrs. Ard will be held on Saturday, November 22, at 1:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home, with Dr. Ryan Christopher officiating.
Mrs. Ard was born in Baldwin County, Georgia, on July 13, 1947, to the late Chancey Brookins and the late Lucille Brookins. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and caring for her children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Jeff Ard, Sr.; a daughter, Suzette Avery; and three sons: Kevin Ard, Benjie Ard, and William Mark Ard.
Survivors include her daughter, Lucy (Jeff) McDaniel of Thomaston; two sons: Perry Ard of Thomaston and Kerry Joe Ard of Covington; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
