Myrtle Marie Smith, age 81 of Lynchburg, Tennessee was born on April 29, 1944, and passed from this life on May 27, 2025, at Lynchburg Nursing Center in Lynchburg, Tennessee.
A native of Moore County, Tennessee, she is the daughter of the late Cecil Holt and Elmer Gertrude Baker Branch. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Ray Smith, brother, Raymond D. (Virginia Nell) Branch and one son, Dwayne Ray Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Lynchburg Funeral Home in Lynchburg, Tennessee with Danny Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Moore County.
Marie worked sewing baseballs for Worth Sports and spent her remaining years as a housewife. She loved listening to Country music, especially anything by Dolly and never missed an episode of wrestling on TV. She was a longtime faithful member of Hickory Hill Baptist Church in Lynchburg.
Her survivors include her children, Anita (Kenneth) Golden, Darrell Shane Smith, grandchildren, Bradly Ryan Golden, Mandie (Derek) Harris, Lori Kristen Smith and Trevor Shane Smith, great grandchildren, Karson Pearson, Layla Bea and Barrett Ray Harris, Colton and Nova Beaty, nieces Debbie Smith and Rita Watkins.
