Orwell - Myrtle M. Squibbs, age 83, a lifelong resident of Orwell, Ohio passed away at Geauga Hospital on May 12th, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 23rd, 1941, in Chardon, Ohio to Harold and Beulah (Wells) Koebel. She married Howard Francis Squibbs on August 1st, 1964. She worked at Grand Valley School and raised 5 children. Myrtle was a lifelong member of The Eastern Stars Chapter #591. Myrtle loved spending time with her family, helping at Rome Fire Dept Fish Frys, going to the tractor show, playing cards, attending car shows and most of all her dog Star.

She is survived by her sons Harold (Gina), Duane (Barb) and Kevin (KJ). Myrtle was loved by her grandchildren Doug (Becky), Michelle (Dave), Rick (Martha), Alan, Chelsey (Mike), Chris (Caitlin), Daniel, Oliva (Tim), Kevin Jr. (Emma), Jonathan (Kelsey) and Kortney (Justin). She also loved all her great-grandchildren Candance, Joseph, Brendan, Emilia, Jaiden, Kathleen, Dominick, Landon, Maverick, Gavyn, Raylynn, Benjamin, Kaylynn, Lana and Emmy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Squibbs, her parents Harold and Beulah Koebel, her sisters Geraldine Pilarczyk and Arlie Squibbs, and her sons Michael and Lowell Squibbs.

A funeral service officiated by Christopher Squibbs will be held at Paine Funeral Home Inc., 140 E. Main Street, Orwell, OH 44076 at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2025. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Monday, May 19, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Village of Orwell Summer Concert Series, P.O.
