Myrtle (Stuteville) Virgin, 83, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 surrounded by her family.
Myrtle was born in Evansville, Indiana on August 4, 1939 to the late George and Beulah (Smith) Stuteville. Myrtle enjoyed traveling, horse racing, sports and bingo. She cherished the times she spent with her friends from Leisure Living and the YMCA. Myrtle was a free spirit, always on the go and enjoyed life to the fullest, taking one day at a time. She will be remembered as a loving thoughtful mother, grandmother and friend.
Myrtle is survived by her children, Jerry McMichael (Patty) of Newburgh, IN and Sheila Behme (Mark) of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Paige McMichael, Ethan Majors, Bailey Roy and Logan McMichael; siblings, Charles Stuteville (Billy), Larry Stuteville and Donna Whitehouse.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald W. Virgin; and by her parents.
A celebration of Myrtle's life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 12:00 noon until 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 10:00 am until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
