Nadine Marie Wheeler, lovingly known as "Angel," was born on March 3, 1977, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she later took her final breath on October 3, 2025. Her passing came unexpectedly but peacefully, a profound loss for all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Throughout her life, she touched the lives of many, offering compassion and support to those in need. Intelligence and creativity were hallmarks of Nadine's character. She not only possessed a sharp mind that often surprised her family but also expressed herself through her art.
Nadine is survived by her beloved sons Aaron Vigil Jr., Isaiah Vigil (Mariah), and RaSean Spearman, her grandsons Jayden, Kai, and Jameson Vigil, her parents, Nick and Dorothy Wheeler, and her loving sisters, Paula Sandoval (Anthony Sandoval) and Nichole Wheeler (Gabriel Sandoval). She cherished her family, including her niece Angelique Trujillo (Teddi Trujillo) and nephew Ramon Valdez (Chelsea), along with nieces Clarissa Lomayestewa (Michael), and Lilliana Sandoval, nephew Zayzay Trujillo, as well as great-nephews Hunter, Ellena, and Waylon Leal.
While her family rejoices in the memories they shared with Nadine, they mourn the absence left by her fraternal grandparents, Gabby and Benny Sanchez, and her maternal grandparents, Benardino and Luisa Apodaca. They also remember her niece, Jacqueline Esperanza Valdez, who has joined the stars above.
As we gather to celebrate the life of Nadine Marie Wheeler, her legacy as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend will continue to shine brightly in our hearts. A Rosary will be held on October 30, 2025, at 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM, both services taking place at Cristo Rey Catholic Church in Santa Fe, NM. A Reception will take place following the Mass in the Cristo Rey Gymnasium.
Nadine leaves behind a tapestry of love, laughter, and cherished memories — a true angel among us. The family of Nadine has entrusted the caring professionals of Rivera Family Funeral Home of Espanola to care for her. We offer our most sincere condolences to all.
