Nalini Misra

Nalini Misra, 90, a Naperville resident since 1972, passed away peacefully in her sleep early Thursday morning. She was preceded in death by her husband of 78 years. She leaves behind her son Binoy (Sue) Misra and four grandchildren, Joseph Misra, Anne Misra Miller, Adam Misra, and Shane Misra. She alos had four great-grandchildren, Shelbi Miller, Ariana Misra, Jackson Miller, and Tegan Miller.
After coming to America in the early '50s, she and her husband settled in NYC, where her husband attended Columbia University. After that, they moved to Azusa, California, where she cared for her 2 sons.
In 1965, the family moved to Sacramento, where she became a Camellia Society of Sacramento member. She was not content staying home but did not want to leave her sons in others' care, so she became an Avon representative. She had a natural and pure ability to care for others and soon became Avon's top California sales rep, winning many awards. In 1968, she became a Cub Scout Den Mother and was privileged to have Ronald Regan's son in her troop.
In 1972, the family moved to Naperville, Illinois, where she worked for Harold Moser at his original store on North Washington Street.
