Nana Fromm Obituary
Nana (Wagner) Fromm, daughter of Zelma (Zonenberg) and Morris Wagner, she was born in South Bend, Indiana, on September 14, 1948. As the eldest of four children, she grew up alongside her siblings, Robert (Susan) Wagner, Joel (Lael) Wagner, and Judy (Karl) Schultz. Her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Barbara (Fromm) and Niessen Cohen preceded her in death. She cherished memorable reunions, weddings and holidays with nieces and nephews, Mimi (Cohen) Dell, Cary Cohen, Elena Wagner, Lexi (Wagner) Benavente, Sam Wagner, Tony Cleys, Kyle Schultz, Carly Schultz and their families.
Nana graduated from Central High School in 1966 and earned a degree in Public Health from Indiana University in 1970. She pursued a fulfilling career as a dental hygienist.
Nana met Gary Fromm as a teenager, and they shared a beautiful marriage of 54 years. Together, they raised two sons, Jason (Nicole) and Adam (Kathleen); Her beloved grandchildren, Sophia, Nora, Amelia, and Harrison, affectionately called her Nana. She loved moments spent at the beach, birthday parties, and soccer games with her family.
A woman of quiet strength and selflessness, Nana was loved by all who met her. She was a lifelong tennis player, an avid calligrapher, and a talented card maker. Nana's passion for giving was evident in her decades of volunteer work with Sinai Synagogue and numerous community child-welfare programs. Nana's gentle spirit, content nature, and dedication to others will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
Funeral Services for Nana will be held at Sinai Synagogue on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 10 A.M. Eastern. Burial will immediately follow at Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery in Mishawaka.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Sinai Synagogue - 1102 E. LaSalle Avenue, South Bend, IN 46617, http://sinaisynagogue.org/contribute or IU School of Medicine–South Bend, 1234 N. Notre Dame Ave., South Bend, IN 46617, (574) 631-5625.

Nana and I worked together in the Jr League office years ago. One day I was fussing and fuming about how to get a Jr League newsletter written. Nana came up to me and gave me a sticker. It said, "Don´t let the turkeys get you down." I kept that sticker for years. She was SO kind and generous with her caring way. I´ll miss you dear Nana.

I am so sorry for your loss. I haven´t seen Nana in years but I know what an exceptional woman she was. I always admired her. She was beautiful inside and out. Thinking of your family. Sue Berebitsky Wells

Nana was indeed, a beautiful soul with a contagious laugh and a glint in her eye. As a former neighbor, we had some great times. Taken too soon, Godspeed my friend.

My first memory of Nana is when I was walking my dogs and she was working on her lovely garden. She was so friendly, kind and gentle. She made me feel welcome in the neighborhood.
We had many many many more walks since that time and I cherish every moment of knowing her.
