Nancy Nuzzo Aldo, 62, died peacefully at her home in East Haven. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Carolyn Mendygral Nuzzo. She was predeceased by her son, Michael Diglio; and her brother, Frank Nuzzo Jr. She leaves behind her husband, David Aldo, of East Haven; her son, Frank Diglio Jr., of East Haven; her sister, Lisa Nuzzo, of Bristol; her niece and godchild, Deanna Nuzzo, of Bristol and Chelsi Nuzzo of Plainville; and two grandsons, Frank Richo of New Haven and Gavin Diglio of New Hampshire. Nancy was a graduate of East Haven High School and also graduated from Stone Academy and loved interior design. She was her handicapped son's caretaker for 28 years before he passed in 2013.
Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven, TUESDAY morning at 11:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call TUESDAY morning from 9:30 to 11:30. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
