Nancy A. Anderson (née Madden), age 74, of Shelby Township, Michigan, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, November 24, 2024. Born on November 27, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan, to Sam and Elizabeth (née Rogers) Madden, Nancy lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family and friends.
A proud graduate of Utica High School's Class of 1967, Nancy went on to enjoy a successful 30-year career as a legal secretary, working for various law firms in Metro Detroit. Known for her kindness, professionalism, and warm smile, she was cherished by her colleagues and clients alike.
Nancy found joy in life's simple pleasures. She was an avid bowler, a creative spirit who loved crafting, an eager traveler, and a skilled euchre player who rarely missed a chance to gather with loved ones around the card table.
On May 3, 1985, Nancy married the love of her life, William Anderson. Together, they celebrated 39 beautiful years of marriage, sharing a bond that served as a cornerstone for their blended family.
Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, William, and her children: Phillip Ternullo, Sherry (Frank) Edwards, Elizabeth (Sam) Johnson, and William (Hortensia) Anderson. She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, whose lives she brightened with her boundless love and unwavering support. She is now reunited in peace with her late children, Robin and Dawn Anderson, and her grandson, Ryan Renusch.
She is also survived by her dear sister, Linda (Dan) Berry, and many nieces and nephews. Nancy is predeceased by her parents and her brother, Sam (Ethel) Madden.
Nancy's legacy of kindness, resilience, and love for family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family and friends will miss her deeply but find comfort in the countless cherished memories they shared with her.
A celebration of Nancy's life with a visitation and service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 2-8pm with a service at 5:30pm from the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Road (3 Blks E of Van Dyke) Utica.
