Nancy L. Barnes

Nancy L. Barnes of Milford, Delaware, passed away Thursday, December 11th, 2025, at home with her daughter, Tammy (Edward), granddaughter, Nichole (Matt) Rogers and grandson, Michael Hornberger by her side. She was 72.
She was born March 30th, 1953, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Edward Cunningham and Mary Tylmeyer.
She was a devoted homemaker whose greatest joy came from the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending time bowling, working through word searches and puzzles, and taking cheerful selfies that captured her bright spirit. A lifelong fan of The Golden Girls and Elvis Presley, she enjoyed sharing her favorites with those she loved. Above all, she lived for her grandchildren, who were the light of her life and the source of her deepest pride and happiness.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Grow, her sister, Anna Grow, and granddaughter, Sebastian Grow.
She is survived by daughter, Tammy (Edward), 6 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 4:00pm, Wednesday December 17th, 2025, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Delaware. Friends and family may gather one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Bayhealth Cancer Foundation.
