Nancy Barton Obituary
Nancy Jane Barton age 66 of Knoxville passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at her residence.
A native of Athens and current resident of Knoxville she was a daughter of the late Wilbur Glenn and Reva Lou Riggs Barton.
She was a member of Concord United Methodist Church in Knoxville. She graduated with her Bachelors Degree from Tennessee Wesleyan College. She was a Teacher at City Park School having retired after 28 years. Nancy will be missed greatly by her family. She was an inspiration to them by always having a postitive attitude no matter what she faced in life.
Survivors:
2 sisters and brother-in-law, Faye and Owen Hale and Ann Barton all of Knoxville.
Niece, Nephew and Spouses, Jenni and Michael Henderson and Jeremy and Laura Hale all of Knoxville.
Great nieces, nephews and spouse, Alex Henderson, Haley and Houston Smith, Sydney Henderson, Nathan Henderson, Hudson Hale and Brady Hale all of Knoxville;
Cousin, Penny Dean of Livingston, TN.
A host of special friends.
Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Friday, January 2, 2026 at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Pastor Wil Cantrell officiating. Those unable to attend may send condolences to www.laycock-hobbs.com/obituaries/Nancy-Barton.
