Nancy Virginia Nelsen Berg was born June 3, 1944 to Lester and Alice Nelsen in Flint, MI. She was married to James D. Berg on June 22, 1963. She was a hard worker who believed in the value of her contributions to her community. She worked at many places, leaving a legacy of pride in her work wherever she went: ITT, Knit and Sew Shop, High-Q, and Regency Sportswear. She was perhaps most proud of her work at the McNairy County Adult Developmental Center, the desire to care for others that she carried ingrained in both her children and grandchildren. She is proceeded to heaven by her husband James and her son Jimmie. She is survived by her four children: Jon (Teri) Berg, Jan (Brad) Woolworth, Jenny (Tim) Rasmussen, and Jeremy (Brandy) Berg. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren: Jourdan (Emily) Rasmussen, Garrison (Amanda) Rasmussen, Meghan (Michael) McKnight, Zach (Amber) Woolworth, Molly (Samuel) Marino, Noah, James, Benjamin, and Silas Berg. She was glad to have known her four great-grandchildren: Eisley and James William McKnight, Ada Rasmussen, and Canyon Woolworth. She is also survived by her loving brother Richard (Bea) Nelsen and her brother and sister-in-law Ernest and Linda Fisher. Nancy was a devoted member of Lakeview Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, decorating, and collecting antiques. Mrs. Berg spent the last several months as a patient at the Adamsville Healthcare Facility, and her family would like to thank the staff for excellent care during her stay, as well as the loving services provided by the team at Legacy Hospice. Nancy Berg will live on in our hearts as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and above all: a devout follower of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
