Nancy Bilek Obituary
Nancy H. Bilek, 91, of East Toledo, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Kingston of Perrysburg. Nancy was born in Toledo on January 4, 1934, to Gabor and Elizabeth (Sztahura) Gottfried. She graduated from Central Catholic High School. On May 21, 1955, she married the love of her life, Frank S. Bilek, who preceded her in death in 2015. Nancy had worked as an auditor for the former Ohio Citizens Trust, which later became National City Bank, retiring in 1981 after 31 years of employment.
Nancy, being very proud of her Hungarian heritage, enjoyed ethnic baking and embroidering. She also enjoyed extensive travel with her husband, which included trips to Rome, Jerusalem, Hong Kong, Spain, Australia, Hungary and several visits to Hawaii. Nancy and her husband loved Czech music and dancing. She was a member of Epiphany of the Lord St. Stephen's Catholic Church and the VFW 4906 Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving is her sister, Betty Jane Bochi; nieces and nephews, Nancy and Dennis Clark, Joseph and Sue Bilek, Albert and Carolyn Bilek, Christine and Tim Brandhuber, Thomas and Joyce Smith, Becky Petrusky, Amy Fuhr, Robert and Cathy Bilek, Sue and Harry Williams, Robert and Dianne Bochi, David and Donna Bochi, Andrew Bochi, III, James and Annie Bochi; many great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Theresa Vargo.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Sunday, from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., where the rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m., followed by the VFW 4906 Auxiliary service at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, at 11:00 a.m., at Epiphany of the Lord – St. Stephen's Parish, 2018 Consaul St., Toledo, where the family will greet visitors beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Nancy's memory are asked to consider Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Parish or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Dear Mrs. Bochi and all of Nancy's family,
I am so sorry for your loss. It was such a joy seeing her walk the festival with her sister, and she always stopped and talked to all those she had met throughout her long and wonderful life. And I loved seeing the two of them wear their Hungarian embroidered blouses. She was thought so fondly by so many and will be truly missed. You are in my heart and prayers, and we both know she is already looking down from the heavens hoping you know that she missed you already.
