FORT WORTH - Nancy Jane Briggs-Miller passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 62.
Visitation: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2025, at Greenwood Funeral Home in Memorial Suite A, 3344 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, Texas, 76107.
A native of Fort Worth, Texas, she spent 16 years working as a dog groomer, primarily at Canine Design under the guidance of Dina Sharp. Prior to her grooming career, she dedicated herself to childcare and homemaking until her youngest child reached the age of 11. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Nancy's love for her children and granddaughter was unparalleled, and her passion for animals was evident throughout her life. Her stubbornness, generosity, and infectious laughter inspired those around her. She cherished travel and exploration, often accompanied by her daughter Rachel, with friends Morgan and Jason Hughes. Nancy's life was a testament to her resilience and perseverance. Her presence illuminated every room she entered, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her children will forever be grateful for the incredible mother she was.
Nancy was preceded in death by her son, James Briggs; father, Curtis Fry; mother, Claudia Fry; sister, Helen Biggs and husband, Randy; and Jason Hughes, whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by her partner of eight years and newlywed husband, Jeff Miller. As well as her children, Richard Briggs Jr. and wife, Rose, Rachel Briggs, Ray Friess; granddaughter, Lucy Hughes. Nancy is further survived by her sisters, Mary Chesser and Carolyn McClendon; brothers, Fred Fry and wife, Betty, Jackie Fry, Bobby Fry, and Kenneth Fry and wife, Yolanda all from Fort Worth, Texas. Her nieces and nephews, Kathy McFarland, Erica White, Christina Fry, Tahirih Kennedy and husband, Gustavo, Ashley Fry, Billy Chesser, Mustapha Muhammad and wife, Renee, Randy Biggs Jr. and wife, Ashleigh, Bobby Fry Jr., Onyeuwa Fry, Cody Fry, and Kenneth Fry Jr.; along with 22 great nieces and nephews. Her uncle, James Roberts of Phoenix, Arizona, survives her as well.
