Nancy Brown

NANCY LUCILLE BROWN, beloved daughter of Rachel and Lucious Guilford, was born on Monday, May 22, 1933, and peacefully departed this life on Thursday, July 6, 2023. Nancy embraced life for ninety remarkable years, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Nancy began her journey at Bexley High School, where she pursued her education and cultivated lifelong friendships. She dedicated herself to the Mt. Vernon AME Church, becoming a devoted member for over eighty-five years. Nancy's faith and commitment were evident through her service on the Stewards Board and her active involvement in the So-Relit Club and Golden Heart Charitable Organization.
Nancy was preceded in death by her loving parents, Rachel and Lucius Guilford; her brother, Lucius "Sonny" Guilford Ill, and her beloved husband, Arthur D. Brown, with whom she shared over fifty beautiful years of marriage.
Left to honor her memory are her three adoring daughters, Theresa (Matthew) Ludaway, Jennifer (Kenneth) Smith, and Lisa Brown. Nancy's profound impact extends to her five grandchildren and six great grandchildren, who will forever cherish the love and wisdom she bestowed upon them. Additionally, she leaves behind a host of beloved friends, whose lives she touched with her kindness and grace.
As we mourn the loss of Nancy L. Brown, we also celebrate her well-lived life and the enduring legacy she leaves behind. Her unwavering faith, dedication to family, and commitment to community will continue to inspire all who knew her.
