MORTON – Nancy M. Bucher, 74, of Morton, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on February 13, 1950, in Peoria, to Wes and Mary (Boich) Riggenbach. Nancy married Terry Bucher on December 12, 1987, in East Peoria. Surviving are her husband, Terry of Morton; children, Cassandra Bucher of Creve Coeur, Adam (Emma) Bucher of Morton, Sarah Bucher of Chicago and Stephanie (Chris) Wakid of Morton; grandchildren, Cody Bucher, Lettie, Otto, George and Matilda Bucher and Eden and Eli Wakid; and siblings, Lewis (Ana) Riggenbach of Groveland, Stan (Emilia) Riggenbach of Tucson, Ariz. and Miriam (Fred) Rosenbohm of Peoria. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wes and Mary Riggenbach; stepmother, Matilda Riggenbach; and brother, Randy Riggenbach. Nancy's greatest joys in life were "knowing Jesus, being married to my best friend and being a mom and grandma." Her life was a testament to her faith. A funeral service for Nancy will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Grace Church in Morton with Pastor Steve Kellerstrass officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Burial will be at Hirstein Cemetery in Morton. Memorials may be made to Compassion International or Midwest Food Bank. Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton is handling arrangements. Nancy was our neighbor. Her son Adam was like a second son to us. We have many memories of her Terry Winston and especially Adam. Know we are thinking and praying for you all. Take peace in knowing she is in a better place now. Pam and Steve Look.
