Nancy A. Chalifour 85, longtime resident of Manchester, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Community Hospice House of Merrimack.

Born on August 7, 1939 in Manchester, she was the daughter to the late Achille and Katherine (Van Lier) Rheault.

Nancy started her working career at Myrna Shoe and worked there for several years. She later worked for the Manchester School District as a bus driver, retiring from the City of Manchester as a bus driver. She enjoyed being the smiling face behind the wheel helping kids and folks get to and from.

Nancy had a passion for sports and was a devoted New England sport fan. She never missed a game, especially when Bobby Orr was playing. In her later years, Nancy enjoyed crafts and was a master crocheter, and the simple pleasure of bingo.

Nancy will be remembered as a loving Mother, Grammy, Sister and Aunt.

Nancy was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Roland Chalifour on September 20, 2015.

Nancy is sadly missed by her four children, Cheryl Chailfour of Manchester, Archie Chalifour and his wife, Carrie of Manchester, Donna Chalifour of Bedford and Lori Chalifour also of Manchester; three grandchildren, Paige Lucier, Matthew Maher and Tyler Chalifour and his fiancé, Mackenzie Howe; two sisters, Joanne St. Jean of Manchester and Judith Pfefferle of Florida; close niece Denise Maher and her husband, Greg of Manchester and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Richard St. Jean and her beloved Springer Spaniel, Lilly.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the Radiology Staff at Catholic Medical Center, as well as the staff at Community Hospice House of Merrimack for their kind and compassionate care.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 26, from 4:00 -7:00pm at Lambert Funeral Home, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester, NH.
