Nancy Embick Cleeland

Nancy Embick Cleeland, age 98, of Canton passed away on September 8, 2024, at the Canton Regency. She was born on August 9, 1926, in Philadelphia, PA to Paul and Lilla (Walton) Embick and has been a resident of the Canton area since 1963. Nancy graduated from Penn State University where she was active in the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She was a longtime member of Brookside Country Club and enjoyed playing and watching golf. Nancy loved to play bridge and was a passionate fan of her Nittany Lions football team. Prior to starting her family, Nancy worked for the Air Force at the Pentagon.
Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Walker Cleeland Jr. who was General Manager of the J.C. Penney stores downtown and at Mellett Mall. She is survived by her sons Thomas Cleeland of Cypress, TX and Jay Cleeland of Columbus, grandchildren Brenna Cleeland of Little Elm, TX and Thomas (Mitch) Cleeland of Redmond, WA.
Cremation has taken place, and she will be entombed at North Lawn Cemetery in Canton next to her beloved husband of 49 years.
