Nancy Eleanor Dwyer went to be with the Lord Jesus on Thursday, July 3, 2025.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Roy Dwyer; daughter Aimee Whitley (David); grandchildren Victory and Gladiola; brothers Norman Swan (Joanna) and Gordon Swan (the late Janet); a brother-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Eleanor Merritt and Roland Swan.
For many years, Nancy was a Social Worker for the State of Louisiana and a parishioner of First Baptist Church of Marrero where she taught Sunday school, was a youth group leader, and worked in the nursery. Though overwhelmingly, the Gospel Tract Ministry was her heart.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Nancy's Funeral Service at 1:30PM at Mothe Funeral Home in Harvey, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 11:30AM and conclude at the start of her service. Interment will be private at another date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Compassion International and/or Community Center for Life in Gretna.
