Nancy Lee Feniello, 89, of Connellsville, the heart and soul of her family, died Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Newhaven Court at Lindwood Senior Living Facility, Greensburg. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, September 16, from 3-5 PM and 6-8 PM, and Wednesday, September 17 at 10 AM until 11 AM, the hour of the service with Rev. Robert Bixel officiating, at the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC.111 E. Green St. in Connellsville. Even though she joked for years that she would prefer to just be "thrown in a ditch," she will be buried at Green Ridge Memorial Park next to her beloved husband, Garry. Nancy, a Connellsville native, was born August 3, 1936, the daughter of the late Iona Morris and Logan "Ted" Wilson, who instilled in her the values she carried throughout her life: the importance of family, a deep faith in God, a strong work ethic, and the ability to create fun and laughter wherever she went. In her youth, she loved roller skating, spending time with friends, and watching out for her ornery younger brother Kenny. She graduated from Connellsville High School in 1954 and moved to Washington, DC, where she became a secretary for the FBI for three years, until her first marriage and the birth of her daughter. She enjoyed her job and the friends she made in DC, and loved to tell us humorous tales of those years. In the early 1960s, Nancy returned to Connellsville and trained to become a beautician. At the same time, she joined her parents' growing business, Adventure in Ceramics, where she played an integral role for many years. In March, 1967, she married the love of her life, Garry, and was also blessed with a stepson. In 1968, their third child was born, just two weeks after moving into the house they designed and built. After Garry's retirement from the U.S. Postal Service, they became Florida "snowbirds" for 14 years. During those same years, she also provided unwavering care and support for her elderly parents. Nancy was a people person who loved to socialize and could strike up a conversation with anybody. She felt privileged to have many friends in her life, and offered her genuine friendship in return. She belonged to many groups and organizations: the Red Hat Society, Bible study group, a sorority, the '54 Classmates, the Curves breakfast club, and others. She excelled at organizing and hosting picnics, pool parties, family reunions, and dinners that featured her superb cooking and baking. She loved doing puzzles and playing games with her family. She and Garry shared their love of football, attended many high school and Penn State games, and always cheered on their beloved Steelers, for whom Garry played in the late 1940s. Nancy was a member of the Pennsville Baptist Church for many years. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Debbie Larson of Connellsville, and sons Garry Feniello, Jr. and his wife Carmen of Connellsville and Jim Feniello and his wife Stephanie of Wexford; two grandchildren, Dominique Barkefelt and her husband Paul of Uniontown, and Joey Feniello of Ambridge; a great-granddaughter, Julianne Turner and her husband Chris of Phillippi, WV and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Garry R. Feniello, and brother, Kenny Wilson. To offer a condolence or remembrance please visit www.brooksfuneralhomes.com
