Nancy Jean (Revard) Foret, 77, of Fort Myers Beach, FL formerly from Essexville, Michigan, passed away on January 21, 2025, in Fort Myers Beach FL, from complications related to a heart attack. She was born July 22, 1947 in Bay City, MI; she was the daughter of Alfred and Anne (Krause) Revard. Nancy grew up on a farm in Hampton Twp with her parents and three older brothers. She graduated from Bay City Central High school in 1965.
Nancy married Kenneth Omer Foret on November 27, 1965, and traveled to Germany to be with him during his military service. They settled back into the Essexville/Hampton Township area and raised their two children while Nancy worked for a local CPA firm. Ken and Nancy eventually took over the Foret family farm and in the mid 1980’s Nancy started a catering business that grew into multiple restaurants and party centers that operated until January 2000. She then worked for Tim Lally Chevrolet remotely for over 20 years while she and her husband renovated houses in Michigan and Florida.
Nancy enjoyed the beach, sunshine, and boating life. She enjoyed spending quality time with the many friends she made in their neighborhood and was very active in several clubs and groups, including the Bayside Homeowners Association. Nancy and Ken were avid travelers and always had the next trip planned; they especially loved cruises and British Virgin Island catamaran vacations with their friends. November 2025 would have been Nancy & Ken’s 60th wedding anniversary.
Nancy will forever be missed by her loving husband Kenneth Omer Foret; her two children, Kimberly (Foret) Lally and Kenneth Omer Foret Jr; her 5 grandchildren, Steven (Joanne) Foret, Samantha (Kegan) Lemiesz, Brock (Mackenzie) Lally, Brittany Lally, and Brody Lally; and her 5 great-grandchildren, Mason Foret, Thomas Lally, Jeremy Foret, Olivia Lemiesz and Joshua Foret.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Ronald (2021), Leo (1996) and Robert (1978).
A Celebration of Life for Nancy will be held Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 1-4pm at the K of C Clubroom 1021 Woodside Ave, Essexville Michigan.
