Nancy Fueston Obituary
Nancy Elizabeth Fueston of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025. Born on May 29, 1954 in Boston, Massachusetts she grew up in Wakefield, Massachusetts, and was baptized as Nancy Elizabeth Auskelis in the Catholic Church. Nancy attended the University of New Hampshire, where she earned a BS in Nursing. She worked at Egleston Hospital (Children's Healthcare of Atlanta), and then at Boston Children's Hospital for many years. She then attended Georgia State University, earning a MBA and going to work for the IRS. After 29 plus years of service she retired as a Revenue Officer Manager.
She enjoyed gardening, hiking, kayaking, and caring for her dogs.
Surviving Nancy is her husband Chuck Fueston and many beloved relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the many health care workers who provided her with care and comfort during the last several years. With special gratitude to the caregivers at Empyrean Hospice, Four Seasons Hospice, and the Clay County Care Center.
