Nancy Garnand Obituary
Nancy Valentine Long Garnand, "NaNa", age 84, of Eutaw, Alabama, passed away July 12, 2025, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Mesopotamia Cemetery in Eutaw, Ala., with Rev. Josiah Rengers officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Winston and Nannie Smith Long; sisters, Anne Chafin Baker, Blanche Ewing, and Nell Gibson; and brothers, Perry Long, Harold Long, and Winston "Wimp" Long.
Survivors include her daughter, Valerie Garnand Sellers (Lin); son, Daniel Michael Garnand (Mary); sister, Sue Sanders; and grandchildren, Cole Sellers, Marianna Sellers, and James Garnand.
Nancy was born January 31, 1941 on Rat Hill in Cochrane, Ala. She was a graduate of Aliceville High School. She was a member of the Eutaw Methodist Church for many years. Nancy had a long career in healthcare in Greene County.
Pallbearers will be granddaughter, Marianna Sellers, grandsons, Cole Sellers and James Garnand; nephews, Brad Gibson, Ryan "Rudy" Gibson, David Long, Richard Long, Jamie Long, Todd Long, Chad Long, and Robert Sanders.
Honorary pallbearers are her Eutaw phone friends, (NaNa's Network) and special friend, Bessie Simmons.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Eutaw Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
