She received other educational honors including the Pennsylvania State Achievement Award, and was the 1992 runner-up for the Pennsylvania Elementary School Principal of the Year. In retirement, Nan and her husband relocated to Williamsburg, VA, where Nan was a docent for Jamestown Settlement from 2006 to the present.
