Nancy Marie Heighton, 66, of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024 following a battle with Alzheimer's. Nancy was born on October 1, 1958 in Canton, OH the daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Wallace) Nudo.
Nancy was a 1977 graduate of Louisville High School. She worked for Nationwide Insurance Company as an Underwriter and retired after 24 years of service. She had a loving spirit and would go out of her way to help others in need. Nancy really enjoyed volunteering her time at St. Luke's Nursing Home were she would help with the activities there including the Bingo. She had a strong passion for helping raise money for local nonprofit organizations. Most important to her was the time she spent with her family. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, William Heighton; children, Amanda (Chris) Berkeley, and Patrick (Renee) Heighton; grandson, Conner Heighton; step-granddaughter, Sophia Cervellino; brothers, Patrick (Heidi) Nudo, Tony Nudo, and Gary (Margie) Nudo; mother-in-law, Charlotte Plympton; and 3 nephews and 1 niece.
The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 4-6 pm, with a Celebration of Nancy's life at 6 pm.
