Nancy Jane (Huff) Kanczuzewski, age 81 of Knoxville, TN, passed away February 8, 2024.
She was born to Margaret Gress Huff and Redford B. Huff in Bloomington, Indiana on September 26, 1942, the third of four children. Upon the end of World War 2 she moved with her family, in the fall of 1945, to Ft Wayne, Indiana. There she graduated from North Side High School, received her undergraduate degree from Indiana University, Bloomington and earned a Master's Degree in Education from St. Francis College in Ft Wayne. She taught in the primary grades of East Allen County Schools in Indiana for many years. She was a member of the Fort Wayne Herb Garden club. Upon retiring she and her husband Dave enjoyed their country home in northern Allen County. In 2019 Nancy and Dave moved to Knoxville to be closer to their daughter. Nancy was an avid reader and spent much of her free time with a book.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Radford Huff and brothers, R. Lawrence Huff and Richard N, Huff.
She is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband of 55 years David A. Kanczuzewski; daughter, Tanya Kanczuzewski of Knoxville, TN; sister, Martha Dively and her husband Clyde Dively of Traverse City, MI; sisters-in-law, Nancy Rose Huff, and Sally Kanczuzewski, of Ft Wayne, Carol Onken and her husband Roger Onken of Iowa; and 3 nieces and 3 nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
