Nancy A. Kisil (Anastasia Lena), 95, formerly of South Burlington, Vermont, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2023, at Birchwood Terrace Healthcare in Burlington, surrounded by her family after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Nancy was born on August 17, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, to Ukrainian parents William and Mary (Prytula) Monk.

Nancy traveled back and forth to Montreal to play the mandolin in a band where she met the love of her life, Peter. They married in 1951 and moved to Montreal, Canada, to begin their lives and start a family. Nancy and her family moved to Vermont in 1978. She was considered the grandmother of the neighborhood by her loving neighborhood friends.
Nancy was very loving and dedicated to raising her children and granddaughter and spent many hours teaching and sharing her art talent of ceramics, painting, knitting, baking and cooking. Nancy always surrounded the family home with beautiful flower gardens.
