Nancy Lee Kling (nee Batkins) of Allenton passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at the age of 84 years.
Nancy was born on October 24, 1939 in Mount Clemens, Michigan to Merle and Norma (Leyer) Batkins. On September 12, 1959, she married Howard Kling and they celebrated 56 years together. Nancy worked at Huntington Bank for many years before retiring in 1998. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and was involved with the Ladies Aid where she worked on many church dinners, the Altar Guild, The Blanket Ministry, Immanuel Bowling League and the Senior Bible Study. Nancy was a wonderful caring person and was loved by many. She will be greatly missed.
Nancy is survived by her sons, William (Robin) Kling and Ronald (Beth) Kling; granddaughters, Nicole (Nathan) McKee, Carlee Kling and Lyndsey (Tyler) Queentry; grandson, John Kling; three great-grandchildren, Hailey, Adam and Matteo; brother, Merle (Sue) Batkins and many nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Howard; brother-in-law, Gerald Kraatz; sister-in-law, Ardith Kraatz and parents.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Hauss and Modetz Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank, Macomb and Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to the 11:00 a.m. service time at Immanuel Lutheran Worship Center, 47120 Romeo Plank, Macomb Township. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Macomb Township.
Memorials would be appreciated to Immanuel Lutheran Church – Chapel Restoration Fund, 47120 Romeo Plank, Macomb, Michigan 48044.
