Nancy Jean Kolle, 93, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023. Nancy was born on January 30, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois to Anton Joseph Mattes and Evelyn A. (Falbisaner) Mattes.
Nancy was a fun- loving person who never met a stranger, she was a “people person.” Nancy had a passion for painting oils on canvas. Her art will live on through her family. Nancy enjoyed to dance and singing in her church choir. She was a devoted and faithful member of her church Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. In addition to her love of people, all animals found a place in her heart. Her laugh and the love for her family will be greatly missed.
Nancy is preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years James “Jim” Kolle, her sons Stevie Kolle and Jim Kolle, her grandson Jimmy Kolle, and her parents Anton and Evelyn Mattes. She is survived by her daughters Karen Buresh, Debbie (Rob) Albright, Mary Dettmer, Joan (Bryan) Dowell, and Janet (Mike) Cooke. She is also survived by her grandchildren Mary, Brian, Connie, Emily, Stephen, Cristopher, David, and Timothy along with her great-grandchildren Chelsea and Tyler.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 6pm-8pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 2pm on Friday, September 1, 2023, in the Chapel at the funeral home with visitation 1 hour prior to service time.
