Nancy Link, 81, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Franciscan Hospital, Michigan City, IN, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born April 30, 1943 in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of John Henry (Jack) Holloway and Ava Edna (Burden) Holloway, both who preceded her in death.
A lifelong resident of the area, Nancy graduated from North Liberty High, class of 1961. She went on to earn her BA at IU Bloomington, her MA at Valparaiso University, her MBA at Notre Dame and her PhD in Psychology at Adler in Chicago. On August 16, 1964, at Beck Chapel in Bloomington, IN, Nancy married the love of her life, Frank William (Bill) Link, who survives. Together they raised 3 children, supporting each other in daily endeavors. Nancy was a devout Christian and 50-year member of the La Porte Presbyterian Church. She was an avid gardener of both flowers and vegetables, an accomplished artist who excelled in painting, pottery, jewelry, making gourd art, and a technology enthusiast, exploring animation and AI creations on her computer. After retiring from her psychology practice, Link Psychological and Consulting Service, Nancy and her husband enjoyed the beaches of Florida, where she added to her wonderful collection of seashells. Her greatest passion, though, was her family, especially her grandchildren, who she dearly loved. "She was very analytical, artsy, folksy and an eternal optimist". Nancy had a servant's heart who touched many lives and will be lovingly missed by all who knew her.
Along with her beloved husband of 60 years, Nancy is also survived by three sons, Frank William "Will" (Holly) Link II of Nashville, TN, John Aaron (Lisa) Link of Michigan City, IN, Joel Michael (Michelle) Link of Omaha, NE; two brothers, Jack Michael (Marcia) Holloway of Lafayette, IN, John Patrick (Deana) Holloway of Carmel, IN; seven grandchildren, Shannon Elisabeth (James) Waters of Richmond, VA, Emily Marie (Dustin Umphrey) Link of Niles, MI, John Aaron Link II of La Porte, IN, Kiera Frances Link, Brendan Michael Link, Morgan Ruby Link, McKenzie Peyton Link, all of Omaha, NE; great-grandchild, Knox Clayton; two nieces and four nephews.
